The much maligned candy corn remains a hoot as it pretty much just stands there doing nothing while providing excellent battle commentary. Costumes also remain a source of power, allowing you to transform into either powerful warriors or, uh, an overgrown piece of candy corn. Like the first game, Costume Quest 2 uses a turn-based system that's similar to the one employed by classic Japanese RPGs. I have got to make sure I tell this story to my dentist. This time, a candy-hating dentist manages to alter time and get Halloween costumes banned. Once again, you play as cheeky siblings Reynold and Wren as they unravel yet another Halloween mystery that involves the future. I'll also admit that as cool as my ninja costume was, it doesn't lay a candle in the wind to the costumes used by the kids in "Costume Quest 2." The followup up to Double Fine Production's adorable game from 2010, Costume Quest 2 retains a lot of the charm of the original.
